Key West Police Arrest Alexa Frank Polcyn After A Bizarre Tesla Charging Incident In Which She Ignores Multiple Trespass Warnings

On July 5th, 2026 in the Florida Keys, officers were called to the scene of the Blue Flamingo, after a girl in a Tesla allegedly refused to leave the premises when instructed by security staff.

A security officer for the Blue Flamingo showed law enforcement a video he had taken on his phone that allegedly depicted Alexa as slumped over and swaying in her vehicle earlier that day, prompting concerns of drugs or alcohol possibly being a factor. Polcyn was adamant she was simply exhausted after a long 24-hour shift, and frequently repeated that she was a nurse. However, her story regarding the timeline up to that point, and when she needed to report back to work can be heard frequently changing each time she was asked.

Body Cam Video showed the Tesla to have sustained significant damage to the front driver’s side and law enforcement can be heard questioning Alexa as to when the damage was sustained.

The Escalation

Alexa continued to debate her right to be at the charging station for a lengthy period, until officers eventually did not leave her with a choice. After finally leaving the premises as requested by officers, Alexa returns to a different part of the same property, allegedly parking in front of a Starbucks and again refusing to leave. Officers return and after several warnings, arrest Polcyn for trespassing.

As the arrest unfolds, Alexa pleads with officers that she’s “a nurse” and “can’t be arrested”. She’s taken to the Key West Police department where she is booked.

What Charges Were Filed Against Alexa Polcyn?

Court records indicate the following charges have been filed against Ms. Polcyn:

• Trespassing: She refused to vacate private property after security and police ordered her to leave.
• Resisting an Officer Without Violence: She actively pulling away and refused to cooperate with physical commands during handcuffing.
• Disorderly Conduct: She created a public disturbance through aggressive behavior and screaming.

The disposition on the above charges is still pending.
