Authorities claims Paul Correa had his pants down in the parking lot, watching video of young girl he filmed in store

A well-known senior Arizona county attorney has been terminated following allegations involving the filming of a minor at a Target store, according to local law enforcement and county officials.
Paul Correa, who served as Chief Civil Deputy County Attorney in Cochise County, has found himself in hot water after a father reported that Correa recorded his 12-year-old daughter inside a Target store. The father confronted Correa in the parking lot, preventing him from leaving. Police later responded to the scene to interview Correa, also noting what they personally witnessed.
Authorities say body camera footage captured the confrontation and can be watched here. Correa was detained while officers reviewed the incident. At the time, he denied any wrongdoing when questioned by police.
Due to the nature of the allegations and Correaās former position, the case was turned over to an outside prosecutor to avoid a conflict of interest. He has since been charged with multiple offenses, including harassment by surveillance, public sexual indecency, and evidence tampering.
Cochise County Attorney Lori Zucco said in a statement that the allegations were deeply disturbing and that Correaās conduct was incompatible with public service. Correa remains in custody as the case proceeds through the court system.
