Latest Case Update

News of Cobie Bradley being arrested on November 21 has S.S.A.S. parents asking their children some tough questions.

The attorney for one of the three teenage boys who have come forward so far is urging other parents to speak to their children, as investigators believe there are additional victims. Attorney Alan Perez says that in order for the three teenage boys who have already come forward to have full justice served, it’s critical that Bradley answer for each and every child who was taken advantage of in this way.

Cobie Bradley’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 19, 2025.

Background Story

On November 19th, Sarasota Police arrested 21-year-old Cobie Bradley, who worked in aftercare at the Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences and also volunteered at Sarasota High School. He was charged with sexually inappropriate conduct involving students. The investigation began in September after a 14-year-old boy from the School of Arts and Sciences reported that Bradley touched him inappropriately during a theater lighting class and added him on Snapchat without permission. As police looked into the complaint, additional students came forward.

In total, three male students between ages 14 and 15 have reported similar misconduct, including incidents during Sarasota High School’s band camp. Police say Bradley used his trusted roles to gain access to students and may have attempted to groom them.

Charges

Bradley currently faces three felony charges: one count of lewd and lascivious conduct on a victim under 16, and two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. He was released shortly after his arrest on a $75,000 bond with conditions barring contact with the victims and prohibiting him from returning to the schools. As authorities believe more victims may exist, they are urging parents to speak with their children and report any additional information.

What’s Next

Sarasota County Schools stated Bradley was not an active district volunteer at the time and emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for misconduct. They also stated they are fully cooperating with the Sarasota Police Department and noted that, as this is an active law enforcement matter, all additional information will be released by the police as the investigation continues. Police have confirmed that Bradley is no longer employed at the School of Arts and Sciences.

Law enforcement says that if you or someone you know may have been a victim or have any information regarding this case, contact Sarasota Police Department Detective Maria Llovio at Maria.Llovio@sarasotafl.gov or call 941-263-6836
