Despite mounting evidence against both parents of the missing 7-month old Emmanuel Haro, mother Rebecca doubles down on her original story that she was attacked and knocked unconscious while her baby was kidnapped.

Already doing interviews from the San Bernardino County Jail, where she has been since her arrest on August 22nd, she speaks out to insist on her innocence in an interview with Southern California News Group.

Additionally, she stands behind her husband, Jake Haro, saying, “He’s a good dad. He would never hurt a baby.” This statement comes despite public knowledge of her husband’s criminal history of child abuse, with eerily similar circumstances involving their daughter, a crime for which he was still on probation.

Earlier on August 24th, Jake Haro can be seen handcuffed and walking with law enforcement along parts of the 60 Freeway near Gilman Springs Road, in an apparent attempt to locate the baby. Cadaver dogs were also enlisted to help, supporting detective’s claims that they no longer believe the baby to be alive.
