Nashville has consistently claimed the title of Top Bachelorette Party Destination – and for Good Reason -Part of Southern Report’s Take Me There Series.

If you’ve ever had to pleasure of visiting Nashville, we’d wager good money you saw several bachelorette parties out and about celebrating. There are no shortage of reasons why brides-to-be everywhere land on this city to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.

The ONLY bad thing we can say about choosing this destination is that when it comes to planning your itinerary, you almost won’t know where to start. But, have no fear- Our seasoned travel writer just happens to not only be a southern gal who’s visited Nashville countless times, but one who’s also planned a successful bachelorette party in music city.

Here is our list of must-do’s while in town. Oh… Also, congrats! 🎉 🍾

1. Walk Broadway and Pop into the Country Bars

We might as well start here for obvious reasons. You and your best girls didn’t come all the way to Nashville for a quiet retreat with a good book. Broadway Street is the heart of the action, with the iconic bright neon guitars, great music played live everywhere you look (or listen), and the lively bustle of friends walking (ok, maybe stumbling, but hey- we’re celebrating!) from bar-to-bar. Believe us when we say you could spend an entire day just exploring Broadway and not get bored. Most bars have multiple levels, each with a different vibe, and we’ve truly never heard anyone perform that wasn’t extremely talented. Nashville is literally overflowing with talented artists, just waiting for their big break.

2) Visit The Gulch and Take Pictures with the Infamous Murals

While other cities have been joining in on the fun, Nashville seems to have pioneered (or at least set the standard) for incredible murals that make for great photo-ops! Also, to be fair, the Gulch is NOT the only Nashville area where these are found. There are actually 17 neighborhoods that boast original murals! We chose to focus on the Gulch specifically, simply because it has some of the most famous, plus we also know of other great things to do there. But most of all, because it has a BACHELORETTE-themed mural! You can’t go all the way to Nashville for your bash and not take advantage of this backdrop.

3)Take a Line Dancing Lesson

You don’t have to be a boot-scootin’ boogie pro to enjoy some line dancing in Nashville. Several establishments offer regular lessons for beginners and if you give it a chance, you can’t help but get swept up in the fun! Check out the former Wildhouse Saloon (now called Category 10– by Luke Combs), Stompin’ Grounds, Robert’s Western World or New Boots– which even caters specifically to bachelorette parties!

4) Ride Scooters Around and Take in the Sights

Sure, Nashville didn’t invent the scooter experience, but it’s arguably one of the best places to utilize them for several reasons. Although you typically can’t ride them directly on Broadway due to the crowds, you’ve got the green light pretty much everywhere else. Trust me, you’ll do plenty of walking regardless, so it’s nice to save your hoofs when you can. Also, there are so many other great attractions, all within a mile or so of Broadway. It’s the perfect distance to skip the Uber, feel the wind in your hair and take in the sights. Nervous about riding? We’re not condoning hopping on one of these if you’ve had one too many, but usually the excitement of being in Nashville is enough to motivate those who might normally be nervous, to saddle up and go for it. It’s really not as scary as you might think and you’ll get the feel of it super fast.

5) Enjoy the Food Nashville is Known For

I could probably do an entire article simply on the incredible food options to enjoy while your in town. In fact, it’s super hard to even steer you to the ‘best’ because that will be somewhat subjective and based around other factors such as budget, size of your party, etc. So here is a little mix of my favorites across the board. Please share your favs in the comments also!

Hot Chicken is arguably the most iconic and well-known staple of Nashville food, and what’s not to love? It differs from traditional ‘buffalo’ chicken in that it’s got a sweet and smoky element, vs. the tang of buffalo, plus the flavor is applied in the form of a paste vs. a sauce- resulting in a crispier final product. You can probably find a good version anywhere, but I’d start with Hattie B’s! It’s consistently good, has great merch and there are several locations.

Pucketts– Think Cracker Barrell, but specific to Nashville, the food is from scratch, open for all 3 mealtimes and LEGENDARY. This place is infamous for a reason. The southern food selections here are worthy of unbuttoning your pants to finish every last bit. They also have adult beverages and really cool merchandise you’ll proudly wear later.

Husk– Make no mistake, Husk is fine dining and is definitely not a spot for those on a budget. However, if you’re a foodie and want an incredibly memorable meal that is as much an experience as it is about eating, look no further. Husk was originally founded and is still led by James Beard award-winning chef Sean Brock and dedicated to reviving southern culinary foodways. The first Husk opened in Charleston, SC with Nashville on it’s heels. The menu is constantly changing and dedicated completely to fresh, local ingredients in a way that will wow all of your senses. Make sure you make a reservation far in advance, especially if you have a party larger than 5-6.

Butcher and the Bee– Two words: Whipped Feta! A dish you’ll see fairly often on menus (as of late), I first experienced years ago at this Mediterranean eatery. Even though I’d had it elsewhere several times, nothing compares to this OG and I make it a point to go back everytime I’m in town. Between the notes of honey and the freshly baked pita bread for dipping, it’s the most savory- savory dish I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the way they do fixed prie: You decide on a certain number of dishes and basically the chef just surprises you with favorites from the menu. Honestly, I’ve never had one I didn’t like. There must be something about Nashville and Charleston being sister cities, because this spot also has a secondary location there. This is just a hair off the beaten path (10-minute uber), but has an awesome distillery/bar across the street, so it’s not a wasted trip.

Marsh House– This seafood hot spot would technically fall under ‘fine dining’, but they are a great happy hour, especially if you like oysters. Must tries include: Mussels, collard greens ravioli, and the crab boil potatoes.

Deacon’s New South– Deacon’s is just off broadway across from The Doubletree and has something for everyone. It’s technically a steakhouse, and they do it well, but they also have fantastic oysters and OMG that mac and cheese! They also have a separate (but attached) lounge called Cliffs Lounge and Oyster Bar, where they serve oysters, fantastic cocktails and have an awesome happy hour.

The Treehouse– Ok, fine, I’ll admit I was first drawn to this place purely based on the aesthetics. Everyone loves a unique place to dine, and this is definitely that. It definitely looks an feels like a super cool, elegant treehouse, but the menu also deserves accolades as well. The price point is very accessible and they have (noticing a theme here?) a generous happy hour on cocktails as well. Yes, we love a good happy hour.

7) Complete an adventure and explore with an Escape Crawl

We love a good escape room in general. It’s a great way to spend an hour or so, and if we’re being honest, helps to break up the day-drinking 😂 🤷‍♀️

Probably the only thing we’ve ever found that we like even more is an ‘Escape Crawl’. You can find one is several cities now, including Nashville. We say it might be even better than your traditional experience, because it starts outside, is led from your smartphone and the puzzles are mostly based on Nashville history and fun facts! It’s a great way to learn a little more about the place you’re visiting, all while having a blast. Even better? For 21+ teams, you get a free adult beverage at the end(Ok, so maybe we’ve not breaking up the day-drinking after all)! There are other options for families with children. We were also thrilled to find out it’s a fraction of the cost of a traditional escape room, which can be really expensive, especially for a larger party. We weren’t sure if it would be ‘boring’ in comparison, but found it to have the exact same ‘ooooh!’ and ‘ahhh!’ moments.

On our first trip to Nashville we noticed some local selections that were available nearly everywhere, so of course we had to try it. We LOVED the Picker’s Seltzers and their orange vodka from Big Machine Distillery, both of which are made locally. They have several locations (Downtown, Berry Hill and Lynnville) to tour, enjoy the goods and even grab some grub. Also worth checking out- The Nashville Barrell Co, Nashville Craft and Green Brier Distillery.

10) Dial into the Christmas Spirit, Anytime of Year at Santa’s Pub
